JOB SUMMARY ? Responsible for the overall design, implementation, governance, and optimization of IT infrastructure to support mainland China business operations. ? Ensure that infrastructure solutions—including cloud, on-premise, network, compute, storage, security, and platform services—are aligned with enterprise architecture standards, operational requirements, and regulatory compliance. ? Collaborates closely with solution architects, security architects, IT operations, and vendors to design and implement resilient, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure solutions that support critical business applications, digital initiatives, and emerging technologies. ? Key responsibilities include assessing infrastructure needs, identifying areas for optimization, ensuring compliance with China’s regulatory requirements (e.g., data localization, cybersecurity laws), and driving cloud adoption and automation to improve efficiency and reduce costs. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE ? Degree holder or Post-Graduate qualification in IT-related disciplines ? At least 10 years work experience in IT industry with 8 year experience of IT Infrastructure and Network Architecture with global or regional exposure ? Sound knowledge and understanding of latest infrastructure domain across network, compute, storage, database, end user computing, broadcasting facility, and design methodologies & architecture frameworks for both on-premise and public cloud. ? Familiarity with mainland China-specific regulatory requirements and cultural nuances. ? Experience designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure solutions ? Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issues ? Have demonstrated capability in designing long term architectural roadmaps, delivering the planned state architecture. ? Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies. ? Must be able to influence, advise and present to all levels of the organisation and externally. ? Be passionate, enthusiastic and an agent for change. ? TECHNICAL SKILLS Infrastructure Architecture & Design ? Expertise in enterprise infrastructure design, including on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. ? Strong knowledge of cloud computing architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Tencent Cloud) and cloud migration strategies. ? Experience in high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning. ? Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef. Networking & Security ? Proficiency in network architecture, SDWAN, SDN (Software-Defined Networking), firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing. ? Hands-on experience with enterprise security frameworks, such as Zero Trust, NIST, and ISO 27001. ? Knowledge of security best practices, including network segmentation, identity & access management (IAM), and encryption. ? Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools for monitoring and threat detection. Cloud & Virtualization Technologies ? Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, KVM). ? Experience with cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, serverless computing, and Kubernetes-based container orchestration. ? Familiarity with edge computing and hybrid cloud architectures. Storage & Database Infrastructure ? Expertise in enterprise storage solutions, such as SAN, NAS, object storage, and distributed file systems. ? Experience in backup and disaster recovery solutions, including snapshot management, replication, and failover strategies. ? Knowledge of database infrastructure management, including SQL and NoSQL database scaling, clustering, and performance tuning. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements ? Familiarity with China-specific IT regulations, including data sovereignty, cybersecurity laws, and compliance mandates. ? Knowledge of China Cyber Security Law, PIPL, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and other security compliance frameworks. Other Technical Skills ? Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Splunk, and ELK Stack. ? Experience in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) for infrastructure operations. ? Ability to compile business cases to demonstrate infrastructure investment value in terms of cost optimization, performance improvements, and risk mitigation.
